Ottawa Sports Awards Winners in Paris – Paralympic Games Edition

The Canadian Paralympic Committee announced its complete roster of 126 athletes set to represent Canada at the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games. The roster includes several accomplished Ottawa Sports Award winners from past years, including Patrice Dagenais who is now a four-time Paralympian in Wheelchair Rugby.

Good luck to all Ottawa-area Olympic athletes across all sports! Those marked with an asterisk (*) are past Ottawa Sports Awards Winners.

Para Athletics: Bianca Borgella*

Para Canoe: Brianna Hennessy*

Para Judo: Priscilla Gagné

Sitting Volleyball: Anne Fergusson

Wheelchair Fencing: Trinity Lowthian*

Wheelchair Rugby: Patrice Dagenais*

 

Notes: Patrice Dagenais is an eight-time Ottawa Sports Award winner, dating back to his first award in 2012. The three Goalball team members were recognized as a Team in 2023 when they captured gold at the Parapan American Games, as well as winning individual awards.
