Award Categories:

Lifetime Awards
These awards celebrate a coach, volunteer/administrator, technical official, and member of the media who have made longstanding contributions to the Ottawa amateur sports community. Often, they have also excelled at the international level. This category also includes the Mayor’s Cup, which is for outstanding individuals who have a longstanding association with the City of Ottawa and have contributed many years of direct support and dedication to amateur sport in a variety of contexts.
Major Awards
These awards recognize an outstanding effort in 2023 and are presented to the Athletes, Coaches, and Teams of the Year. This category also includes the Spirit of Sport Award which celebrates those who have set a meaningful example for others through their personal journey in sport.
Individual Sport Awards
These awards are presented to one winner per sport, recognizing them as the City’s best individual performer in that sport for 2023.
Successful Teams
These awards are presented to all Ottawa-based amateur teams which win a recognized provincial or national championship in 2023. Age groups of 13 and over are eligible. All successful teams are also considered for Team of the Year awards.
